This evening, we are going to try to get rid of this guy:
(Actual gopher not pictured)Kent and I have no experience with gophers whatsoever, and hurting him isn't ideal, but he's destroying our backyard. We just don't appreciate the mounds of dirt that pop up every other day on our lawn.
The method we're going to try:
Drown him out of his hole and bop him on the head with a shovel when he comes out of another burrow. We found this wonderful information on the world wide web. If you have any other advice, less violent perhaps, we would love to hear it.
Poor little guy. His time has come.

I can just see you with your shovel, Nellie! The question is--which hole will he come out? Sounds like a big game of wac-a-mole to me.
There is no humane way to do this. We have a guy that traps on out empty lot. They are eating some trees that we have planted. You have to get some traps. Or shoot em. or wait till they pop their heads out and wackem with a shovel. I hates em hates em.
Good luck with that!
Nellie! How did the gopher hunting go? You should ask Nainoa for some tips. He's quite experienced. He once killed a gopher with the end of a tiki torch, disgusting I know, but he has some mad gopher killing skills!
The gopher still lives on. I think I might need to give Noa a call.
