summer reading

I need a good book to read. Something I can lose myself in (that just reminded me of Eminem). It can be a classic, something modern, a biography...anything that keeps me engaged. Any suggestions? I am completely open.

If YOU happen to be looking for some great summer reading, I suggest the books below:

I recently finished Catching Fire, the second book in the Hunger Games series, and I honestly read it in about 24-48 hours. I think I read the first one in about a day as well. I just couldn't put them down. They have me almost intrigued as the Harry Potter series, but that's tough to top. The third book comes out this summer, but...

I know there's time to squeeze something else in (as long as it's not Les Miserables or something).

Hope you're enjoying the summer weather. June gloom should disappear as of today, right? We'll see.

I am in the middle of The Help. I have heard it is a "can't put it down" kind of book. I'm about 75 pages in and it's now to the point where I can't wait until I can read it again! As of now, I'd recommend it.

I seriously LOVE the hunger games series - I read them so fast as well and can't wait for the next one! I too feel a void after being so immersed in a good book - I'm looking for the same thing this summer - a good book ;)

I can't wait for Mockingjay to be in print. I'm buying a copy as soon as I can.

I read The Help and loved it. Great writing. Other than that I haven't read any worth recommending.

My friend has a book blog and she reads a ton. I get a lot of good suggestions from her.

I love these books too. I even grabbed them on audio book so I can listen to them while I fill the dishwasher. :)

I just finished "The Passage" by Justin Cronin and really enjoyed it. Some other favorites:

The Basic Eight by Daniel Handler
Looking for Alaska by John Green
Spindle's End by Robin McKinley
The Stolen Child by Keith Donohue
Inside the Shadow City (Kiki Strike,#1) by Kirsten Miller
